Will I become addicted to tobacco if I start smoking cigars?

I have a few friends that smoke cigars and I′ve been considering giving it a try as well. Now I′ve never smoked anything in my life and I′m afraid that if I try cigars that I may develop a nicotine addiction. Is this possible with cigars?
